Local Pet Owners Celebrate “Blessing of the Animals”
On Sunday, animal lovers all over the world celebrated the “Blessing of the Animals.”

It’s a tradition that dates back centuries, stemming from Saint Francis who was known for his love for animals. Every year, Catholics bring pets to church for the annual blessing.

They believe the blessing of each animal by name encourages health, healing, and life–plus a strong relationship with the animal’s human partner.
