What You’re Saying About Alabama’s First Loss of the Season

The Alabama Crimson Tide have dropped to number seven on the Associated Press college football poll.
This, after the Tide lost to Ole’ Miss over the weekend. Now, fans are wondering what went wrong.

Not many Alabama fans predicted this. In fact, Alabama was favored to beat Ole Miss. It’s a reminder that anything can happen on game day. We asked fans what they though about Saturday’s loss.

The Crimson Tide lead Ol’e Miss through most of Saturday’s game. That changed in the fourth quarter, when Ol’e Miss scored a touchdwon with a little under six minutes remaining. Shortly after, Alabama’s Christion Jones fumbled the ball, giving it back to the Rebels. Ole’ Miss would score another touchdown to win the game 23-17.

“I felt like somebody kicked me in the stomach,” says Alabama fan Jimmy Davis. “But like I said, it’s okay. We’ll be back. And really the only person I feel sorry for is Auburn because they gotta play us and they will feel Alabama’s wrath after losing the game.”

“I’m glad it’s this early in the season rather than later in the season,” says fan Larry Rudolph. “So maybe we do have a hope in going to the National Championship game again.”

“I don’t blame it on Saban,” says Justin Popwell. “They had a lot of mistakes, a lot of missed tackles. They could have done better than what they did.”

Suprisingly, fans we spoke with still believe Alabama can beat Auburn..and even go to the National Championship game this year.
