Close to a thousand students will step back into the mid-eighteen hundreds this Friday in Troy.

Final preparations are underway getting the Pioneer Museum’s ground ready for it’s annual Pioneer Days.

Friday and Saturday the public is invited to enjoy reenactors and entertainment.

This year is even more important for organizers, after a fire in May destroyed one of their barns.

Executive Director Kari Barley said, “We are non profit so we are based of admissions and things like that coming out and enjoying yourself and bringing your family for a good time is a wonderful way to support the museum. “

The museum is located on US Higway 231 North of Troy. Tickets are $6, children five and under are free.
