Board of Deacons File Lawsuit Against Pastor of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church

A lawsuit has just been filed against the pastor of a Montgomery church.

The Board of Deacons of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church have retained legal representation from attorney Julian Mcphillips.
They are now suing pastor Juan McFarland in an attempt to remove him from the church.
McFarland was voted out of his position by the church membership but has since remained in the church and even led worship this past Sunday.
In the lawsuit, the board of deacons are requesting to be allowed to change the locks on church doors, change the church’s bank accounts back to they way they existed on October 1st, retain ownership of the church vehicle, among other things.
The deacons say there are growing concerns about the pastor’s behavior.

“The leadership team did not react by wanting to get him out,” says Deacon James Long. “We wanted to try to get him help. But as things kept snowballing, it didn’t leave any options for us.”

The deacons say they are avoiding Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church until further notice, as to avoid confrontation with the pastor.
