Butler Co. Showcases Local Industries
A crowd of eager students filled the room looking to get educated on what’s to come after graduation. It was all part of the second annual Built in Butler County event.
“The event is about bringing area industries and business to one location. So we can bring 10th grade students throughout Butler County to come and visit them and find out what they do, how they do it, and why they do it.” Said Rod Carter, Built in Butler County Chairman.
County officials say the automotive, wood, and machine products are the main industries drives Butler County’s economy. Like Structural Woods Systems. This company exports their Products to China.
County officials say workforce development is key to Butler County’s economic Success.
Built in Butler County features over 20 industries. County officials are hoping that students will not only join these industries, but maybe one day start their own.
