Tuskegee Medical & Surgical Center Holds Bling-a-Bra Contest for Breast Cancer Awareness

Some Tuskegee residents are working to bring awareness about breast cancer in a unique way.
Tuskegee’s Medical and Surgical Center wants you to bring in your blinged-out bra. You can decorate it any way you want. The best bra title goes to the one with the most votes.
It’s a friendly competition to remind women to come in for mammograms. Before the center opened, there was no place in Macon County to get the potentially life-saving checkup.
The center will hold a balloon release in honor of breast cancer survivors and in memory of women who lost their lives to the disease. It’s scheduled for Thursday from 3:30 to 5:00 P.M. at the center.
