Happy Birthday Hello Kitty!
 One of the most iconic characters is celebrating a birthday. Hello Kitty turned 40 years old today. The much loved Japanese character was introduced on November 1st, 1974. Ever since then, Hello Kitty-mania has swept the world. She’s featured on more than 50,000 products in 130 countries.
Here in Montgomery, the I-Heart-Me Activity Center hosted a birthday party for the character. Attendees could play games, get their face painted, and even meet Hello Kitty herself. The party was for a great cause, as well. To get into the party, guests just had to bring a canned good. Donations went to the Montgomery area food bank. Guests could also donate supplies to the Montgomery Humane Society.
