Hubbard’s Trial’s Impact on Midterms Elections
With the midterm elections imminent, the ethics indictment for Alabama Speaker of the House MIke Hubbard is becoming a hot-button issue. The Republican speaker was arrested on October 20th on felony ethics charges.
Now the Southern Progress Action Fund is running ads that feature Hubbard’s mug shot and a message for voters not to re-elect Republican incumbants. The group has ties with the Democratic Party and is based out of Arkansas.Â
Mike Hubbard fired back at the ads, calling them an attempt to interefere in another state’s elections.
