Standoff Leads to Drug Arrest in Selma

From the West Alabama Newsroom–   A Selma man barricades himself in his house after authorities execute a warrant at his residence during a drug sweep.

Authorities with the 4th Judicial Drug Taskforce say Patrick Freeman used a trap door in the floor of the residence to hide in a space under the house from police.

They say Freeman stayed holed up in the house for about four hours before he finally gave up and came out.

They say the arrest was the result of a several month-long undercover investigation.

US Marshals — state troopers — and local law enforcement officers assisted with the drug sweep.
