Low Gas Prices May Not Last

As another week begins, there are new lower prices in the river region but those lower prices may not last if new taxes are imposed.
According to Montgomery gas prices dot com, the average price for unleaded in Montgomery is now at 1.96 per gallon. Compare that to the Alabama average of 1.98 per gallon and nationwide, the average price for regular unleaded is 2.11 cents per gallon.
Some gas stations are lower… two stations on Vaughn road in Montgomery are 1.78 cents per gallon. The MAPCO and Valero are both well below the local average.
