MPD Make Arrest in Cloverhill Drive Shooting

MONTGOMERY — The Montgomery Police Department has made an arrest in the
Tuesday, January 20, shooting death of 45-year-old Michael Webb of Montgomery.
MPD detectives charged Rashid Webb, 41, of Montgomery with one count of murder. Police say the men are NOT related.
Webb was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals on Wednesday, January 21, 2015.
Following his arrest, Webb was transported to the Montgomery County Detention
Facility, where he was being held under a $250,000 bond.
On Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at about 1:30 a.m., MPD and Fire Medics responded to
the 800 block of Cloverhill Drive after receiving a report of a subject shot. There, they
located the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
MPD’s initial investigation indicated the shooting stemmed from an on-going dispute.
Further investigation identified Webb as a suspect.
