A group of black politicians is pleading with the president to move his Selma visit to Bloody Sunday.
The president is planning a trip to commemorate the start of the Selma to Montgomery march on Saturday March 7th.
State Senator Hank Sanders was joined with other state and local officials to emphasize how important it is to hold the commemoration on Bloody Sunday.
The senator has organized a bridge crossing march for the last 40 years, and it’s always been on Sunday.
