Madison Man Dies After Gunfire Exchange with Police
Police are investigating after a man died after exchanging gunfire with officers in Madison.
Madison Police Captain John Stringer said officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at a residence on Hunington Chase Drive Tuesday night.
Stringer said that officers were talking to a woman at the residence when the suspect drove by the home.
He said officers pursued the man to the end of the street, where police say he fired a shotgun. The officers returned fire.
Stringer said the early investigation revealed the man likely shot himself.
