Dog Attack in Troy Results in One Dog Shot

A dog attack in Troy results in one dog shot and killed and a woman with bite injuries.
It happened yesterday evening in the 100 block of Prospect Ridge.
Troy police say a woman was walking her dog and pushing her child in a stroller, when two pitbulls attacked her dog.
Police say the dogs had gotten free from another residence. A Troy police officer was in the area and tried to help, ultimately shooting one of the pitbulls. Officers were able to capture the other dog and it’s now in quarantine.
The woman received minor injuries to her arm.
No charges have been filed.
