Shante Wolfe And Tori Sisson Are First Same-Sex Couple To Marry In Montgomery

Same Sex Marriage is officially legal in Alabama. Couples across the state have been going to probate offices that are issuing marriage licenses, including Montgomery County. Alabama News Network followed one couple — their names are Shante Wolfe and Tori Sisson and they’re the first couple issued a marriage license at the Montgomery County probate office. In fact, they even pitched a tent and slept outside the probate office over night. After a few minutes of paper work, they officially got their license, then headed outside the office to have their marriage ceremony. Wolfe and Sisson say they’re hoping their marriage helps make way for other same-sex couples in Alabama thinking about tying the knot. “All love is equal it’s fair and it’s just has to be recognized for people who are trying to just get married, trying to just be like everyone else,” Said Wolfe. “We’re not trying to cause havoc. We just want to be in love that’s it!”
