Tallapoosa Co. Man is Dead After a Law-enforcement Involved Shooting
A Tallapoosa County man is dead after a law-enforcement involved shooting.
It happened just after noon near Dadeville, according to sheriff Jimmy Abbett. Abbett says when deputies arrived Fletcher Ray Stewart was waving a pistol and yelling. He then ran from officers.
Abbett says during the foot chase Stewart pointed the gun at officers. He says a deputy fired a shot at stewart …Killing him. The case has been turned over to the Alabama Bureau of Investigation.
