A Pike County man is behind bars after leading authorities on a chase through the night.

Jonathon Bundy, 22-years-old of Banks, is facing theft of property and attempting to elude charges.

Pike County sheriff’s deputies say Bundy stole two trucks yesterday. When Troy police spotted Bundy in one of the trucks, Bundy refused to stop.

Authorities say they used the truck’s GPS system to track it down.

Bundy ran out of gas while fleeing from Coffee County deputies and the he fled into the woods. A K9 tracking team helped find him around 4 o’clock this morning.

Authorities say they also found a stolen gun in the stolen truck. He’s being held in Pike County Jail on $4,500 bond.

The first stolen truck from the Mt. Moriah Community was located in Bullock County on Wednesday.

Bundy was wanted for porbation violation, on a burglary-related charge, out of Troy.

The Pike County sherriff’s office thanked Troy police, Coffee County sheriff’s office, Dale County sheriff’s office, Elba police, New Brockton police, and Alabama DOC K9 tracking team for their help.
