MPD makes more arrests in January Walmart shooting

Montgomery Police say two more people are now charged in connection with the shooting that happened January 14 outside Walmart in the 3800 block of Eastern Boulevard. Marquis McKeithen, 24, is charged with Assault 1stdegree, Assault 2nd degree and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. Tomika McKeithen, 32, is also charged with one count of Hindering Prosecution 1st Degree. Both arrested Friday evening in the 3000 block of Kelly Circle. According to MPD, during the incident an adult female who was in her vehicle and uninvolved in the dispute sustained a non-life-threatening injury. Officers say that Carlton Webb, 21, and other individuals were engaged in an exchange of gunfire outside the store following a verbal altercation which began inside the store. Webb was taken into custody on January 14, after being released from a local hospital and charged with Assault 2nd degree and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. Further investigation identified both McKeithens as suspects. They’re being held at the Montgomery County Jail.
