A Day Filled with Glitz and Glam at Wetumpka High School

It was a day of glitz and glam for a group of young girls at Wetumpka High School, and it was for a good cause as well.
Young girls from kindergarten to fifth grade all gathered at Wetumpka High School to compete in the little miss wetumpka pageant.
Elmore County School superintendent Dr. Andre Harrison played host for the event.
Alabama News Network’s Ellis Eskew and Ashley Mcdonald were judges.
Contestants’ parents told us the pageant is a good way to help build young girls’ self esteem at an early age.
Proceeds from the Little Miss Wetumpka Pageant helped raise money for local cheer and dance teams.
