New development is coming to Montgomery with several restaurants opening their doors.

Kudzu Noodle Bar opened its doors last Friday. It shares a kitchen with nextdoor restaurant TRUE. TRUE will soon be under construction and will come back with a new name, A&P Grill. Chef Miguel Figueroa says it will serve Italian dishes.

Other restaurants coming to the Capital City include, Buffalo Wild Wings, Outback Steakhouse, and Twin Peaks in the Eastchase area, and a Jimmy John’s downtown.

Mayor Strange says he is encouraged to see the growth.

“That is in fact good news. When you do close one, there are going to be winners and there are going to be losers. And that’s the cycle for this scenario. But when one closes, another is there in the back field. And that really speaks volumes to the vitality of the economy,” said Strange.

Strange says he is also talking to the owners of the old “Vingtage Chophouse” in Old Cloverdale about a new restaurant coming there.
