The twenty-sixth season of The Amazing Race premiers tonight on CBS 8. People in Tuskegee will see some familiar faces.

Tuskegee natives Lebya Simpson and C.J. Harris are competing for the $1 million prize. This season of The Amazing Race comes with a twist. Out of the 11 couples, six are in long-term relationships–the other five are on one long blind date.

Lebya and C.J. have been dating for ten years. They met in elementary school and dated on-and-off through high school and college. After finishing school, they both got jobs in Tuskegee. Lebya works with the V.A. health system and C.J. is an IT specialist with the city.

They say even though being on The Amazing Race is much tougher than it looks, the experience was worth it.

“Two people from Tuskegee, a small town, it wasn’t supposed to happen,” said Lebya.

“It’s not in the cards, being from here, sometimes you can get lost in the fact that you’re from a small town, you think the world is only so big, but this taught us the world is huge,” said C.J.

The Amazing Race Season 26 premiers Wednesday at 8:30 P.M. C/T on CBS 8.
