Hotels Booked for Selma to Montgomery March
If you’re looking for a place to stay during the Selma to Montgomery March Anniversary, Montgomery might not be the place to stay anymore. That’s because all the hotel rooms are booked. The Convention and Visitor’s Bureau says about 25,000 people are attending the Selma to Montgomery March. There were 7,200 hotel rooms in Montgomery, and another 2,500 rooms in the River Region. Now there are no more open rooms available in Montgomery and the River Region. Hotel officials are suggesting people look for hotel rooms around Greenville, Auburn, Birmingham, and the surrounding areas.
