Young People React to Big Weekend in Selma

April Smith is the founder of generation X. A grassroots organization helping young people who feel like they’ve been forgotten, or left out in life.
“I’m working hard to make sure that becomes a myth and that doesn’t come to pass, and that they are our future and they are great.” Says Smith.
People like Smith have brought children to the big event to inspire them, and for some, It seems to be working.
Not only are young people in Selma getting inspired, but also looking to take action in their own lives.
