Our Golden Apple Award this week takes us to Dalraida Elementary School in Montgomery.
Antrina Ray has been a kindergarten teacher at Dalraida Elementary School for seven years. She says her passion is teaching children how to read.
She does that with small groups, taking one-on-one time with every student. She says her favorite part about the classroom is seeing her students grow.
“Every day is a different day. If they had a bad day yesterday, the next day will be better. Just loving them and them loving me and seeing how far they come from August to May, that’s rewarding for me,” said Ray.
