Prayer Vigil Held For Child Crime Victims
Years after family members disappeared those left behind are not giving up hope. Saturday organizations came together holding a vigil for missing children and victims of crime.Â
Â
The Ministers of the Montgomery River Region organization teamed up with Tri-Success Resource Services out of Birmingham to host this prayer vigil.Â
Â
They prayed for hope peace and love for the child victims of crime as well as the missing and their families.Â
Â
One of those is the family of Sherry Lynn Marler who’s been missing for more than 30 years. She disappeared in Greenville at the age of 12 in broad daylight.Â
Â
Betty Stringfellow, daughter missing for 31 years said, “You think it’ll never happen to you. That’s what I thought to. But it can. It can happen to anybody. If it can happen in a little town like Greenville where the population is only 10,000 or so it can happen anywhere. To anybody so just always tell your children you love them.”
