Golden Apple: Candace Powell
Our Golden Apple Award this week takes us Georgiana School in South Alabama.
Candace powell is a fourth grade teacher. The Georgiana native has taught at the school for two years. She taught students in Mississippi and other towns in Alabama before that, but says it’s great to be a panther again.
Outside the classroom, she stays involved in her students’ lives. She sponsors several clubs and the math team. She says it’s rewarding to see the difference it makes for her students.
