Thousands Take Part in 14th Annual Joy to Life Walk

 

The local organization provides life-saving mammograms for Alabama’s medically under-served women. 

 

Alabama News Network was one of the sponsors of the event. 

 

This is the fourteenth 5K and more than 2,500 people participated. 

 

Joy to Life was able to fund 13,000 mammograms last year with 200 people being diagnosed and treated. And even with the the success of events like this they still need your help to fund their mission

 

Joy Blondheim, Cofounder, Director Joy to Life Foundation said, “We do have a slight shortfall. But we think we will make it up, we are not closing, we are not shutting down. We may have to suspend some of our services for two or three months, we don’t want to.”
