It’s that time when we honor a teacher for their work in the classroom. Our Golden Apple award this week takes us Georgiana School in South Alabama.
Candace Powell is a fourth grade teacher. The Georgiana native has taught at the school for two years. She taught students in Mississippi and other towns in Alabama before that, but says it’s great to be a Panther again. Outside the classroom, she stays involved in her students’ lives, sponsoring several clubs and the math team.
