From the West Alabama Newsroom–  The unrest in Baltimore is yet another example of some people’s mistrust of police.

And that’s why more and more law enforcement agencies are starting to use body cameras.

Deputies in both Dallas and Perry counties are now equipped with new body cams.

Officials say the cameras are an effort to hold law enforcement officers and the public — accountable for their actions.

“If there are complaints on any of the deputies, we’ll have body cams to show what actually happened,” and it’ll work both ways, even the people that’s being arrested, if they’re doing something wrong it’ll show,” said Perry Co. Sheriff Billy Jones.
