From the West Alabama Newsroom– An annual event at a Wilcox County middle school puts students on an early path to college and career readiness.
Career Day is an event designed to put students at Camden School of Arts & Technology on a path to success.
Every year the school officials invites community members into the school to share with students — what they do and what it takes to get there.
“They get a realistic look at what the careers are all about, what education you need to be in that career, what the person actually does day to day,” said Principal Andre Davis.
Ryan McCreary is a C-SAT 7th grader.
“Career Day was exciting,” he said. “It taught me a lot of things. It told me how to prepare for the future for college and all the different job opportunities.”
Alabama News Network meteorologist Ryan Stinnett was one of about a dozen presenters at Career Day.
