Cloverdale Hosts First May Festival in Over a Hundred Years

The Cloverdale community has brought back a long-lost springtime tradition. They hosted their Old Cloverdale May Festival today at the newly-refurbished College State Park. Around one hundred people enjoyed the festivities, including May festival staples like the dancing of the Maypole.Â

Today’s festival also celebrates the end of a two-year revitalization project for the park, as well as the opportunity for the community to reconnect with Cloverdale’s history.

“I have seen an increase in the sense of community through our clean ups,” says Karen Benton, Chairman of the Parks and Beautification Committee. “Things are getting even nicer here, and I do think this park project has contributed to that.”
