MONTGOMERY, AL — The Macon East softball team won their 4th straight class AA AISA state title Saturday.
They were down 1-0 in the fifth when they drove in 6 runs the last two innings. Deven Kennedy had a big throw to home for an out as well to help the knights get the 6 to 2 win.
“It’ll sink in,” said Macon East coach Glynn Lott. “You know everytime you do it, it gets harder and harder. Our boys are playing against Edgewood this weekend. I told them the pressure is on the team who won it before. Coming in here, I think our girls felt some pressure this weekend for the first time.”
