A Prattville Family Receives a New Home

One family in Prattville will soon have a brand new home, thanks to Habitat For Humanity.

The Autauga and Chilton County branches of habitat for humanity are building a home for Shurita Fitts and her four boys on Howard Street in Prattville.

Today, Lowes sponsored “women’s build” day for the project.

Female volunteers from around central alabama worked on the home…putting up siding, building the fence, and other off jobs.

Fitts says she was touched by today’s turnout.

The group plans to dedicate the house to the Fitts family on July 11th.
