River Region Iron Chef Competition Held During Second Saturday

This month’s Second Saturday event here in Montgomery had a delicious addition for a great cause. The 4th Annual River Region Iron Chef competition kicked off today at the Riverwalk Ampitheatre. Teams of two were given a basket of ingredients, and were given an hour and fifteen minutes to create a recipe from those items, prepare their dish, and then present it to the judges.

 

The proceeds from today’s event went to benefit Hemophilia and Blood Disorders of Alabama.

 

Alabama New Network anchors Stefanie Hicks and Ellis Eskew competed. Chief Meteorologist Ashley McDonald also competed, and her team won first place in the competition.
