A jailer is now on the other side of the bars after an early morning raid at the county jail.
Nancy Maness has been charged with bringing drugs, cell phones and other contradbad inside the jail to give to inmates.
According to Sheriff Andre Brunson, the raid comes after a two and half month investigation. That investigation included work by undercover agents with State Bureau of Investigation.
Along with Maness, 15 inmates are charged with promoting contraband.
Sheriff Brunson says Maness is likely to face additional charges soon. He also says other people could be charged in the coming days.
Maness had been an employee with the jail for about a year.
