While school is winding down for students across Alabama, for the town of Pike Road, anticipation is building for the inaugural start of classes this fall.

School superintendent Dr. Suzzanne Freeman says construction on the school’s building is on track.

She’s expecting more than 900 students to enroll in grades “K” through 8th next year.

For the last several months, she and her staff have been holding informational meetings with parents to update them on the style of learning that Pike Road will use.

Classes are set to begin on August 13th.
