Fallen Veterans Honored in Prattville

The community of Prattvile came together today to honor our fallen veterans on this Memorial Day.

A wreath laying ceremony was held at the Autuaga County Courthouse.   Veterans young and old from World War 2 on took time to remember the more than one point three million Americans who’ve lost their lives while serving our country.

It’s an emotional day for so many who know first hand what it’s like put country first,  no matter the cost.

“We’e had friends who’ve gone and been deployed and we’re lukcy everybody’s come back.  But not everybody gets to,” says Sherri Rogers who served in the Air Force.

The wreath laying ceremony is an annual events sponsored by the city of Prattville and the American Legion.
