Wetumpka Man Drowns on Lake Jordan
The Elmore County Sheriff’s Office says a 23-year-old Wetumpka man has drowned in Lake Jordan.
Carlton Corbett was with a church group when investigators say he got off the boat and drowned. Elmore County Sheriff Bill Franklin says Corbett was by a low ledge of rocks near a surface of water and did not seem to be in trouble before he went underwater.
The Chilton County Dive team took 5 minutes to locate the body.
Marine Police, firefighters, and Elmore County investigators also helped in the search.
