There is a new way abused children in Covington County can get the help they need.
The Children’s Advocacy center is now open. The center makes things easier for law enforcement because officers say their usual training is not geared toward interviewing children. They say that sometimes caused problems investigating child abuse cases.
With the new Children’s Advocacy Center, that all changes.
Not only will the center be used to help those who’ve been abused, but it also help educate the community about the issue of child sexual abuse.
