Dallas Co. Sheriff’s Office Conducts Gun Safety Training

From the West Alabama Newsroom–  With more and more people exercising their second amendment right to bear arms — the Dallas County Sheriff’s office is trying to help make sure they do so safely.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office hosted a gun safety class Thursday and about two dozen people signed up and took part.

Trained law enforcement professionals taught participants how to safely handle, store, load and shoot their weapons.

“I think its an excellent Idea and I’d recommend it all of people who don’t already know how to shoot a gun,” said Grace Hobbs.

Officials with the sheriff’s office say they plan to hold another gun safety class in the fall.
