Cole Lipscomb & Cassie Jones Earn National Honors

MONTGOMERY, AL — After leading her team to a national championship, AUM senior pitcher Cassie Jones is still bringing the honors.
The former Dallas County stabndout was honored with the NAIA Player of the Year award along with a first team all-american nod. Jones finished the 2015 campaign with a 35-5 record, 0.90 earned run average and 411 strikeouts.
Auburn sophomore pitcher Cole Lipscomb received high honors as well.
He was named to the 2015 Capital One Academic All-American Division 1 baseball team as a second team selection.
Lipscomb posted an 8-2 record with a 2.53 earned run average as a sophomore as he helped Auburn to its first NCAA regional bid since 2010. In the classroom, lipscomb holds a 3.76 grade point average in finance.
