The Special Olympics Torch made its way through the streets of Montgomery as it travels to the Summer Games in Los Angeles, California.

The relay started in Miami, Florida. Over 46 days, it will be carried by volunteers across the country before arriving for the games on July 10.

A team from Alabama News Network carried the torch through downtown, including our Sports Analyst John Longshore.

“It was unbelieveble, it really was. To see all the people that are here to support our Special Olympians, and have the chance to carry the torch with one of our Olympians. It was just touching and moving,” Longshore said.
