Two Crimson Tide Selected in First Three Rounds Of MLB Draft

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Two Crimson Tide baseball players were selected in the first three rounds of the 2015 MLB Draft.
Alabama shortstop Mikey White was selected in the second round and 63rd overall by the Oakland Athletics.
White started all 60 games as a junior for Alabama. He led the team in batting average hitting .339 his junior year. He had 98 RBI’s in his career with the Tide.
Alabama outfielder Casey Hughston was selected in the third round and 96th overall by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Hughston played all 60 games this season in right field. He had a .332 average and led the Crimson Tide in hits and total bases this season.
