Police: Burglars Target House of Worship

Two men are in jail after police say they tried to steal lawn equipment from a Montgomery Church. It happened early this morning at the Capital City Church of the Nazarene on Vaughn Road.
Pastor Blake Mohling says he got an eyeful when he was called to the church this morning after someone tried to break-in. Pastor Mohling also says he believes both men also took a weed eater and a blower. But so far, police haven’t recovered the items. The two men also allegedly tried to take a lawn mower worth over eight thousand dollars. While trying to take lawn mower to their trailer. Police told us they caught them in the act. The pastor says all the credit goes to concerned neighbors who saw something, and called police.
Both men are still in the Montgomery County Jail. Right now, they identities have not been released.
Police tell us charges are still pending.
