The Crossfit competition ‘Gump Games’ was held Saturday morning at the Cramton Bowl Multiplex.
Josh Carter has held the ‘Gump Games’ in Montgomery for the past four years. This is the third year that the ‘Gump Games’ were held at the Cramton Bowl Multiplex. The ‘Gump Games’ consist of Crossfit exercises in a competition style.
Joshua Carter, Gump Games event coordinator said, “If you wanna work out hard and be consistent, and you want that intensity, this is it. But that’s not what you see everyday. My mom does it. You’ll see teams where there’s 40 and 50-year-old people in there and they do what they do. So it’s not just for the young people.”
The ‘Gump Games’ competitions consisted of 4-man Crossfit teams from a variety of mostly local gyms.
Thirty-two teams competed this morning at the ‘Gump Games’ totaling more than 100 participants.
The ‘Gump Games’ consists of 3 different events that the teams compete in.
Participation has grown over the years and the event is becoming more popular every year.
This event is open to the public and anyone can come to watch.
Josh Carter hope to continue the tradition of Crossfit Gump Games.
