Daquan Newkirk Commits to Auburn

ORLANDO, FL — Auburn picked up a surprise commitment from defensive specialist Daquan Newkirk.
He stands 6’3″ and weighs 245 pounds. He is from the First Academy School in Orlando, Florida. Newkirk chose the Tigers over Alabama, Connecticut, and Kentucky.
Newkirk had 42 tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles, and an interception as a junior.
Auburn now has ten commitments for the 2016 class.
