US Hwy 231 Southbound Lanes Closed After 3 Car Crash, 1 Fatality

Alabama troopers are investigating a three-vehicle crash with one confirmed fatality on U.S. 231 at the 87 mile marker in Pike County.  

According to troopers, there are a total of 3 injuries that have been transported to Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery.  

Northbound lanes of U.S. 231 are open but the southbound lanes from the 88-85 mile marker will be closed for approximately one hour.
