Boat Accident on Lake Martin Kills 1, Injures 2
One man is dead and two others are injured after two boats collided on Lake Martin Friday night. Sixty-six-year-old Stanley Sides of Alexander City was killed when the pontoon boat he was driving was struck from behind by a bass boat. The crash happened around 8:45 in the Tallapoosa River channel of Lake Martin between Dennis Creek and Mallard Point. Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate the crash.Â
