Otis Washington Will Be Enshrined in the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame

LOUISIANA— Selma native, Otis Washington, will be inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame.
Washington played on the last college football team on Xavier at New Orleans’ team. After college he coached St. Augustine’s high school team where they won many state titles in the 60’s and 70’s.
He finished up his coaching career and coached Southern University in the 80’s.
“I appreciate the honor of going into this hall of fame very, very much,” said Washington.
