Greenville Officials Remember Councilman

The city of Greenville is mourning the loss of a long-time member of the city council. Councilman James Lewis occupied his seat as councilman of district four in Greenville for over 30 years,
and now city officials are remembering his legacy.

Flags are at half staff at city hall in Greenville. For councilman James Lewis who died over the weekend at the age of 82. Lewis played a role in bringing businesses to the city,  Including Hyundai suppliers Hwashin and Hysco. Lewis also served as a liaison for the fire and police departments,
helping them obtain grants and special projects.

The funeral for James Lewis is set for this friday at 5:00 pm The location of the funeral is still being finalized.  No word yet on how the city plans to fill James Lewis’ vacant seat.
